Staying Busy with The Comics Alternative

Although it’s been mostly movies around here lately, I have been reading some pretty interesting graphic novels:

Last week, Derek and I discussed two new books and a single issue on Episode 178 of The Comics Alternative Podcast. On that show, we discussed Nod Away by Joshua W. Cotter (Fantagraphics), Gulag Casual by Austin English (2dCloud) and Haunted Love #1, edited by Craig Yoe (IDW).

And for the younger folks, Gwen and I recently talked about three books on the Young Readers edition of The Comics Alternative Podcast: Rust: The Boy Soldier by Royden Lepp (Archaia), Sweaterweather & Other Short Stories by Sara Varon (First Second) and Dinosaurs: Fossils and Feathers by MK Reed and Joe Flood (First Second).
