With one film to go, Beckie and I are almost finished with The Beckie Project, so it’s time for another project, this time with my co-worker Orangerful Sam: The Star Trek: The Next Generation Project.
Yes, let’s do! As I told Sam a few weeks ago, I religiously watched the first two seasons of TNG when they aired in the 80s, but got tied up with other things and only watched the rest of the series sporadically. When I saw the complete series on Blu-ray a few weeks ago at a very cheap price, I decided to jump on it. (The price is still good on Amazon UK. These are region-free Blu-rays and the total cost was around $70. That’s for seven seasons!)
Obviously with seven seasons, this is going to be a looooooooong project! Sam and I agreed that we probably won’t discuss every episode in detail (and I probably won’t write about every episode, either), but that it will be interesting to discuss the development of the show, especially (fairly or unfairly) comparing them to some of the themes and concepts of the original series.
Should be fun. Stay tuned!

Yo, ‘sup? Wanna be hip, so TNG, sucka! 🙂 No, I think I’m very nostalgic for shows I barely saw growing up: The Avengers, Mod Squad, etc.

If you want to be hip like the cool kids, you can shorten it to ST:TNG or just TNG hehe. Project:TNG. I’m excited though, is it possible to have nostalgia for a TV show you are only pretty sure you watched??
