Ack, travel to the US is really expensive because the CDN dollar is low. But I hope to make it there one year!

I think you’re right. I forgot that the RIFIFI release was a dual format. Not sure why the Universal titles are getting a re-release, though…

Why is it I haven’t yet seen “The Spiral Staircase”!! Honestly – and I call myself a classic movie blogger.

Am excited to see the release of “Nightmare Alley”.

I’m guessing that the two Criterion reissues are former dual-format editions that are being re-released as separate DVDs and Blu-rays now that the dual-format copies are running out; I know they’ve done that with other titles.
